Our Story

My kids have always been a nightmare with socks.

The threads. The seams. The wrong feel on the wrong day for absolutely no reason. Sock goes on, sock comes off, tears - sometimes from me as well.

Most socks made for sensitive kids are plain. I wanted something different - patterned socks that kids actually want to wear, with no scratchy internal threads. It took a lot of searching, but I found a manufacturer who could do exactly that.

I had samples made immediately. Boston and Frankie wore them every single day. That had never happened before.

I knew other families needed these.

And while I was at it - because I also personally hate sorting socks - I designed the whole box so every sock works with every other one. No pairs. Just grab any two and go. There are no odd ones.

What started as an idea in West Auckland came to life in Aotearoa's Lake Hāwea, and is now growing in Sydney's Northern Beaches. We've been around for a year or two. I just never really told anyone about us. Turns out that's not great for business.

So - hi! I'm Laura, and this is No Odd Socks. Socks that work even when life is messy. Patterned, no scratchy internal threads, mix and match, and built to make mornings calmer - and laundry easier.
